Stand Out!

What sits behind a well-positioned, profitable and sustainable business – a business that stands out? It’s undeniable that client care is at the top of the list.

In business we seek to retain our existing clients and search for ways to attract new ones. But too often we make this more complicated than it needs to be. When we give extraordinary care to existing clients their recommendations become an everlasting supply of new clients – providing lifetime fans!

After two decades spent in sales and service I know it’s not difficult to stand out with extraordinary client care. In part because it’s simple to do but also because few do it well. Many have a one-transaction mentality. They invest little in their current clients and spread themselves thinly looking for new ones.

Being a stand out is straightforward…

* Passion shows – do the work you love!

* Give more than expected – under promise and over deliver.

* Show genuine interest in their business and personal life.

* Be high touch – phone or visit sometimes rather than email or text.

* Delight with acts of kindness by mailing a gift or handwritten card.

Some say, “I don’t have time for extras – I’m flat out looking for more business.” Take the time to get your balance right. If you want more clients – love the ones you have. Your clients loyalty to you starts with your loyalty to them. Show them you care and you will stand out as they shout out about you.

Positioning with extraordinary client care is that simple.

Hi Christina, what you've written is so true. There's nothing harder than going out every day after years in the industry looking for new business, because we've neglected the clients we previously worked so hard to get. With technology these days it doesn't take much to keep in touch on a regular basis.
It is as much about keeping our clients in mind as part of our 'business family'.
I love all my clients, some of them have become friends. I love sending them stuff and they really appreciate it.
In any business and in particular real estate, forgetting people is 'death', because they will forget you long before you forget them.
Why reinvent the wheel every day when you can have a loyal fan club at your fingertips, literally.
    Keep up the good work.

Christina – I just love hearing positive reinforcing messages that I believe! I have been applying this very thinking and action to my house siting clients – I have a very solid core of beautiful quality people around me, and after three years of taking care of them, giving them great value, nurturing our relationships, and showing that I do care for them, their recommendations have my diary overflowing. This is a value lifestyle business for me, but I am now working on capturing this and applying the exact same principles to my professional life. I absolutely believe that nurturing relationships is the essential foundation to exponential success, and when you do it because you are showing your real self, the mutual respect is invaluable!
